E

Today was harder.
(what the heck am I going to do with Q??)

I'm thankful for.........Everything?
Eggs?
Elephants?
Eating?

I couldn't come up with anything I was truly grateful for that started with E.

But then it hit me, Emotions.

Wierd, but true.

I am thankful today that I have vibrant, full, put-it-all-out-there emotions.
I don't hold back, and I'm thankful that God gave me an outlet for my feelings.
Grateful I can cry hard, and laugh loud, and love deep.
'Cause that's just who I am.
And it's good.

Today I'm grateful for Dance.  I'm honestly not that good at it, but I love moving my body.  I'm grateful I have a little bit of rytham.  I love to watch a good dancer and I appreciate how difficult it is to be REALLY good.  I'm grateful that my body is functional enough to be able to get up and dance if I want to.

C

C is for Cecily.  DUUUUUUUHHH!!!!
I'm ever so full of happiness and gratitude for my Cecily girl.  I could gush about her all day if you let me.  She's fun, funny, smart and darling.  She comes up with the funniest games and imaginary friends.  She gives kisses to Nolan, even after he pulls her hair.  She loves talking to people.  In the grocery store, in the park, at a restaurant or at church.  She'll telly you her life story, if you let her.  She forgives easily (which is good for mommy) and her hugs and kisses melt your heart.  I'm thankful she's mine.

B

I'm grateful for Billings.  It sounds trite, but I'm grateful for the experiences we had there, for the things I learned, and for what my time there taught me about myself.  Its not the prettiest city ever, and we'll most likely never move back, but I'm happy we were there for the little bit of time we were.

A Month of Gratitude

I've been remiss in my gratitude efforts here on this 'lil blog.  11 months and no posts.  Not that I haven't had things to be grateful for my life, I've just been writing it down in other places.  But!!! I've been seeing friends on facebook who are posting every day until thanksgiving and going from A to Z.

I'm a day behind..... Oops.

But here I start, and I hope I don't forget and get behind.  If I do I'll just catch up, I guess :)

So, November 1st: A

I'm thankful for my AUTOMOBILES.  Seriously, how cool is it that you can jump in an air tight, steel framed, gas propelled box on rubber wheels and blaze down the road at 80 miles an hour.  What took the pioneers MONThS to accomplish can now be done in a few, comfortable days of driving.  Its pretty incredible if you think about it.

Change

Today I am grateful for change.
The only constant in our lives is change, and the way we adapt to change is what forces us to grow.
To become better.  Hopefully, anyway.

I am grateful for the opportunity God gives us on a daily basis to change ourselves.
It's so hard, but little by little, I can do it.

I am grateful for Mike's new job which will force us to change our city, our apartment, our life.

I am grateful for my daughter and son who change and grow and learn on a daily basis, and in doing so, force me to change and grow and learn.

I give thanks for good changes in my life.

More Gratitude

July was the last time I posted anything on this blog.......... and even then, it was a silly open letters project.
I'll continue that later.
 I think it's fun.
 Sue me.

Anyway, it's November.
A month where we count our blessings.
Name them one by one.

I'm starting a few days late, but better late than never, I always say.
In fact, I live my life that way.

AAAAAAAAAAAnyway, I'm hopefully going to write lots more this month.  Probably won't be every day, but I need to remember why I started this 'lil blog in the first place.
My blessings are many, my problems are few.

So- today I'm grateful for my family. (Duh! Did you honestly think I'd say anything else?)  But really, Mike and my babies are my whole life.

No matter what happens, I get to be with them for forever, and that is a good feeling.

I'm grateful that they make me smile.

I'm grateful that they challenge me, even though I hate it sometimes.

I'm grateful that they stick with me, even when I suck at life (which is often).

They are the best.

And they are mine.

And I love them times a million.  and a trillion.  and a kajillion and one.
